Grasmere on August the 5th was overcast but warm.

"C" walk did a circuit of Rydal water and Grasmere

"B" walk went to the east of Grasmere and climbed up to a tarn and then returned by way of Rydal water.

"A" walk opted for a linear trek from Ambleside some 15 miles
