‘B’ Walk
Distance: 9 miles
Ascent: 2400 ft
Leaders:
Trevor Ludlow
John Roberts

To ascend Blencathra and enjoy it's fine views this walk starts near the White Horse Inn at Scales and climbs steadily to the top of Mousthwaite Comb.
From there we drop a little to the River Glenderamackin and follow it to its source near a ridge leading by way of Foule Crag and Blue Screes onto Blencathra itself.
The hard work is now done and we can enjoy a stroll along the summit before a long descent to the Blencathra centre and a pleasant walk into Keswick via meadow paths and a disused railway track

‘C’ Walk
Distance: 7.5 miles
Ascent: 600 ft
Leaders:
Edwina Roberts
Margaret Pegg

This varied circular walk, which starts in Keswick, follows the lakeside path to Friars Crag and continues south past Stable Hill to cross the Borrowdale Road in order to follow an uphill path along the foot of Walla Crag through Great Wood to Castlerigg.
We then make our way northwards towards Goosewell Farm and the Castlerigg stone circle.
Then, heading south and west we reach Spring Wood and continue to the outskirts of Keswick before walking through Castlehead Wood and back along the shore of Derwent Water into Keswick.
