‘A’ Walk
Distance: 12 miles
Ascent: 1500 ft
Leaders:

This relatively easy ‘A’ walk starts at Hebden Bridge where there are toilets and follows the Hebden Bridge to Haworth footpath.
After leaving the town, we start by following Hebden Water through National Trust woodlands, climbing via Hardcastle Crags to Walshaw.
The next section follows a well paved path over moorland to Walshaw Dean reservoir where we join the Pennine Way.
We follow this to reach the ruins of Top Withens of Bronte fame and then follow the Bronte Way for a pleasant walk back to Haworth.

‘B+’ Walk

We leave the car park in a south westerly direction through Penistone Hill Country Park heading towards Leesham reservoir.
We then start our steady, easy climb to the Top of Stairs and then descend on good tracks to Baby House.
Here we head due west towards Walshaw before turning north and climbing again over the moors taking in High Rakes until we reach the reservoir at Black Clough Hill.
Picking up the Pennine Way we continue climbing north east to Top Withens (the Bronte farmhouse?)and then descend to Bronte Bridge and waterfalls, then back through a different portion of the Country Park to the car park.
Note: All the climbs are very easy and the whole walk is on good tracks (some muddy bits) with very few stiles.

‘B’ Walk
Distance: 8 miles
Ascent: 1500 ft
Leaders:
David Wake
David Poole

This a pleasant circular walk exploring the Worth Valley.
We start from Haworth where toilets are available and then traverse rolling countryside to cross the Worth Valley Railway line at Damems Station.
The main climb of the day then follows as we climb out of the valley on the Worth Way/Senior Way and proceed generally southwards to Sugden Brow and the over Brow Moor before dropping down into Oxenhope.
This is the southern terminus of the Worth Valley Railway, where steam trains should be operating.
The Bronte Way then provides a pleasant walk back into Haworth.

‘C’ Walk
Distance: 7 miles.
Ascent: 700 ft
Leaders:
Steve Wright

David Turton

This circular walk starts at Haworth from where we walk along the Bronte Way on a gentle ascent of Penistone Hill and then on to Bronte Bridge.
After a short steep climb we follow the valley of South Dean Beck before climbing steadily to the ruins of Top Withens.
Weather permitting we should have fine views of Haworth Moor from this vantage point,
We return via the Pennine Way to Near Slack and then take a path to Stanbury.
From here we follow a footpath to Lumb Foot which leads us back to Haworth.
