From Pen-y-Pass we follow the old copper miners' track to Llyn Llydaw with impressive views of Snowdon and Crib Goch.
A steep, rough ascent takes us to the southeast ridge.
A safe walk with care, but there are sensational vertical precipices and some tricky rock walking as we go over Lliwedd (approx 3,000 ft).
There is a steep descent to the Watkin path which takes us to the summit of Snowdon (3,560 ft).
From the top we descend northwest closely following the railway to Llanberis. |

| This is a circular walk centred on Llanberis.
Starting on road, track and footpath, the walk passes east of Llyn Dwythwch as we wander amongst the western approaches to Snowdon.
Turning north, we ascend over rough ground to start the broad, short rising ridge made up of Foel Goch and Foel Gron's double high point.
A final easy descent and climb over grass to the summit of Moel Eilio (2,300 ft approx) achieves the highest point of the day.
Following the ridge down, we pick up the track and road, returning to Llanberis. Good weather will allow excellent views of Snowdon and Elidir Fawr.

| Leaving Llanberis by westward roads, tracks and paths we go by disused workings and then through woodland.
Passing over Cefn Du (approximately 1,350 ft) we wander down to Carreg Lefain to look for hut circles and burial mounds before taking paths across the hillside to return to Llaberis. |

A circular walk around Llyn Padarn, with sufficient height to give good views over the lake and the Snowdonia range.
Starting at Llanberis, we make our way out of the town and climb up to the disused slate quarries.
We continue northwest along a little used road towards Bwlch. Here we descend to the main road (A4086) via path and road.
We make our way to the north end of Llyn Padarn, crossing over the Afon Rhythallt and along the “Lakeside Walk” as we climb up towards Cae-Canol.
We then descend through woodland to the lake and the Slate Quarry Museum and thence back to the coach.
There are two main climbs, one of 400 ft and the second of 300 ft, both well worth the effort for the views.
Terrain is mostly tarmac track, road and woodland paths.
