| We start our walk from the coach park about half a mile outside of Holmfirth and make our way up a hill to Hill.
A green lane then allows us to reach Upperthong and the Holme Valley Circular Walk that takes us towards to Holmbridge.
From Holmbridge we climb up to Crow Hill to regain the Holme Valley C W to gently ascend to Elysium.

| This is a beautifully varied walk that exhibits the best of the West Yorkshire Moors and Dales, made famous by Compo and his friends.
Starting on the A635 to the East of Holmfirth (GR 097077), we descend to the Digley reservoirs and thence southward to the village of Holme.
Our route then follows the Kirklees Way and the Holme Valley Walk via Crow Hill to Elysium and Hollin Hill reservoir.
A short road walk brings us to the picturesque Morrow Wood and to
Scholes Village whence we cross between Dover and Paris before descending steeply to Holmfirth. |

| This is a circular walk with several steep ascents at first which will be taken gently.
From the coach park outside Holmfirth we make our way up to the hamlets of Netherhong and Upperthong via footpaths and quiet lanes.
Further footpaths take us along a ridge with good views to Hogley Green and Hasterley.
The remainder of the walk is a gentle descent to Holmbridge and a riverside walk back to Holmfirth. |
