Starts at the village of Buckden and ascends to the
summit of Buckden Pike (2302'). Excellent views are to be
enjoyed on clear days. We then descend to Kettlewell
before picking up the Dales Way back to Grassington. With
lovely Wharfedale a constant feature all day it is a very
enjoyable walk in winter and summer alike.

A pleasant, not too strenuous walk along limestone ways
starting at Starbottom. The maximum height climbed is
approximately 1100'. Our route takes us through woods and
typical Yorkshire Dales scenery including a rather
special limestone terrace from which splendid views are

 'C' Walk
A pleasant circular walk starting and finishing at
Kettlewell. We set off North-westerly along the east
flank of Wharfedale to the village of Starbottom.
Following a stony winding track we then ascend
North-easterly up the hillside. The climb ends as we
follow a turf path with Great Whernside looming ahead (in
clear weather). At Cam Head (1690') with Tor Dike
(constructed around 70 A.D.) in sight we turn South and
gradually descend back to Kettlewell with the beautiful
views of Wharfedale to be enjoyed all the way.
