May 9                          Lake District                         Coniston

A beautifully clear day with high cloud cover, a perfect day for waking in the Lakes
Sol Photiou led a linear"C" walk from Skelwith Bridge

began with a panic: they'd lost Charlie Nairn!!

Charlie was actually still sitting very comfortably on the coach and ended up doing his own walk with Rick and Pam Moxon

C walk then did a lovely 10 miles along the Cumbrian Way

"A" walk were dropped off next ( Charlie had still not been discovered on the coach ) and followed the Yewdale Beck to the summit of Wetherlam

Then up Prison Band to Swirl How

From Swirl How along the ridge to the summit of Coniston Old Man

"B" walk after discovering Charlie and sorting him out, set off on a cicular walk taking in tarn hows and the Yewdale Fells
